Marriage licenses in Nevada require no blood test or waitingperiod, and no appointment is necessary You must obtain yourmarriage license from the Courthouse at 200 South 3rd Street,First Floor, Las Vegas. Both parties must appear in person withproof of identity (photo ID). The fee will be $55.00 (cashonly). Marriage license issued immediately. You may obtain alicense up to one year prior to your wedding Marriage License Requirements: Requirements for U.S. citizensand Non U.S. citizens are the same. It is suggested that NonU.S. citizens check with your local officials for specialdocuments that may be needed to ensure that your marriage willbe recognized in your country Applicants must be a Male and a Female, at least 18 years ofage, and not nearer of kin than second cousins or cousins ofhalf blood, and not having a husband or wife living.
Applicants may be required to prove their age. Those not havingacceptable identification to prove age may be refused a marriagelicense. (Faxed copies, damaged identification, privately issuedID, check cashing cards or photocopies of identification areunacceptable.) Social Security Numbers are required on marriage licenses.Please know your Social Security Number. Those without knowledgeof their Social Security Number may be refused a marriagelicense. It is recognized that Non U.S. citizens will not have aSocial Security Number. Allowed Identification Driver's License or State-issued ID card Original or Certifiedcopy of Birth Certificate Foreign Birth Certificate must betranslated into English and notarized Passport MilitaryIdentification Resident alien card Minimum Age For both male and female, age 18, proof of age may be required.A birth certificate, passport or draft card is acceptable.Persons between the ages of 16 and 18 may be married with theconsent of a parent or guardian. Proof of age is necessary andproof of identity of person or persons giving consent may alsobe required. A legal guardian must provide proof of appointmentby the court. If a parent or guardian is not present, anotarized affidavit stating name, age, place of birth andrelationship of person(s) giving consent. For persons under theage of 16, a Nevada Court Order must be obtained. Divorce Divorce papers are not required for a remarriage in Nevada. Youwill be required to sign on your marriage license applicationthat you are legally divorced. A divorce granted in anotherstate must be final in the state in which it was granted. If youare divorced, it must be final. You must know the month, year,city and state in which the divorce was final. Witness There must be at least one additional witness other than theperson performing the ceremony.
